Problem

Students are told to network, and then left to remember everyone they met in a notes app or a spreadsheet. LinkedIn records that a connection exists but not why it matters, and the follow-ups that turn a coffee chat into a relationship are exactly the step that gets forgotten.

Solution

A private, local database of contacts built around the context of each relationship — how you met, what you discussed, what you owe them — with reminders and drafted outreach generated from that context, so staying in touch is a scheduled habit instead of an act of memory.

Architecture

Planned architecture
Everything but the outgoing message stays on the device. The scheduler and the drafter both read the same local record, so a reminder arrives with the context needed to act on it.
Data model
The contact is the anchor; interactions hold what was said and follow-ups hold what was promised. introduced_by points back into CONTACT to record who introduced whom.

Overview

A standalone, local-first CRM for students building a professional network — a more intimate LinkedIn, where the point is the relationship rather than the connection count. Each contact carries the context that actually matters when you reach out again: where you met, what you talked about, who introduced you, and what you promised to follow up on. On top of that record sits automation for the tedious parts of networking: follow-up reminders on a cadence you set per person, drafted outreach messages that pull in the notes from your last conversation, and nudges when a relationship has gone quiet. Because it is your network and not a platform's, the data lives on your machine in a local database rather than on someone else's server.
